The Double Reverse Spin is a popular and challenging bronze level International figure danced in Waltz and Quickstep. It has the distinction of being the only left-turning bronze figure where the dancers can complete a full rotation in just 6 beats of music. Also notable, the figure features a different number of steps for man and lady: The man has 3 steps (with only two weight changes), whereas the lady has 4.

In the first two steps, the man leads the lady to dance a heel turn. As the man completes the transfer of weight to his right foot, he dances a toe pivot on the right foot while drawing the left foot closed to the right, without weight. The lady, meanwhile, dances around the man in a side-cross action similar to steps 5-6 of the Viennese Waltz Reverse Turn. It is her crossing action that allows her to complete as much as 1/2 turn over the last two steps.

The narrated demonstration video and the charts show the Double Reverse Spin with 7/8 turn. It can alternatively be taken with as much as 1 full turn, or as little as 3/4 turn. It is quite popular to repeat the figure, especially when danced with a full turn, however most novice dancers will find repeating more than once will become problematic.
